Blended Education Model – A Mix of Traditional and Digital Learning

There is a blooming new method of learning – the blended education model that will emerge in school education; a blend of traditional Teaching-Learning processes, appropriately blended with use of Digital Interactive content, and online learning and assessments.

The key stakeholders in the blended model are: Teacher, Student and Parent. The online and digital part of the paradigm requires more commitment from the parent. The parents should have digital and internet enablement. We are almost certainly looking to implement the blended model when schools reopen. It will not transition as easily as we would like. It is time to plan a up-skilling program for the teachers, to enable them to make effective use of the blended model.

Rolling this out as soon as possible. It is also required to sensitise and enable the parents, to make them understand why it is important to engage their children at home more intensely, particularly in the new world of blended education. They have to become more tech-savvy and more connected with the learning activities. This is a triangular connect Teacher-Student-Parent, parent-to-teacher connect. This completes the engagement model.
