How Do We Restore Normalcy Post Lockdown?

It will probably be a slow transition. Psychologically, we went from taking everything for granted, to a complete lockdown. How will we deal with going back to normalcy, but not in a systematic manner. This time around we will possibly see that communities and stakeholders behave more responsibly towards each other, towards our ecological norms, and respect for Mother Nature.

It is time to start thinking, and planning in absolute detail, the exit plan from the lockdown to a responsible society. This eventful period is Education of our lifetime. Lot of lessons for today’s children, parents, teachers, neighbourhoods, and citizenship. I hope we have numerous lessons and takeaways from the crisis. I believe that we should reflect it in how our systems come back to life. Education sector should play a key role in ensuring that the lessons learned percolate into our curriculum, content, pedagogy and delivery.
