A lesson I cannot forget

As an Entrepreneur I was doing a lot of travel to many countries for meeting with customers, prospects, attending conferences. Myself and my friend/Mentor in the UK. He sad, lets going for a coffee shop and have a chat. I talked about our organisation, how we growing, new opportunities etc,. He asked a simple question, What keeps you busy during the day, what keeps you up at night. I thought about it and reeled out numerous things I have to do as an Entrepreneur and how its getting busier etc., He looked it me and said you are doing something terribly wrong. He went on to ask “If you get run over by a bus tomorrow, will your organisation survive and continue to grow? It is etched in my mind, keeps coming back prompting me if I am taking on more work that I can handle. I guess the moral of the story is “you have to Delegate” and eventually develop the “power to let go”! If the leader can set this example, others will also would share their technical and managerial abilities. Senior folks would mentor junior folks so that the organisation, client relationships will always remain safe and grows.
